What is Netc N·VISION RFID?
RFID stands for Radio-Frequency Identification. It is a means to track and inventory items without the hassle of scanning a barcode. When the tag is passed through an interrogation zone, the area where the readers and antennas interact with the tag, it will automatically be powered up and read regardless of tag orientation. The information from the tag will automatically be sent through the reader to a computer where the information will be decoded. The tags can contain many different kinds of information. They can consist of just a number, or full text describing the object that the tag has been placed on and when this item was in use. The information is automatically tracked by a computer inventory program, which saves you the time of doing an inventory by hand. Netc N·VISION RFID tags can contain up to 56 alphanumeric characters in addition to the VolSer.
How does Netc N·VISION RFID work?
The Netc N·VISION RFID tags pass through the interrogation zone, and are powered up by the antennae. The tag, now powered up, transmits the data that has been written to it and/or writes data depending on what action you are taking. The data can be in the form of a simple unique identification number with a date, or something more complex such as words completely describing the product that the tag is on. The antenna then receives the information from the tag and sends it to the reader to decode it. The reader then passes that information along to a computer running tag inventory software.
What kind of RFID tag does Netc use?
Netc N·VISION RFID labels utilize the state of the art technology Gen2x chip. Netc N·VISION Gen2x chips are EPC global certified. Each tag has the capacity to store the volser plus 56 alpha numeric characters allowing you to include in-depth description of the product and its previous whereabouts.
Netc allows several different information locking options, including making the information password protected, or making the information only writable once. Please contact a Netc N·VISION RFID expert to discuss the options so we can tailor a solution to your needs.
